Sometimes this means skipping a meal or two. Sometimes this means starving. Both are bad and dangerous and could have very bad long-term effects. The person that does this will definitely lose weight, but eventually things will go badly and they will regret this decision. There is an explanation for this as you read on.

Cutting out carbs
Carbohydrates (carbs) have been getting an unfair rap the past several years. The fact is we need carbs. We just might not need as many as we have become accustomed to eating. You can read more about this later in this book.

Binging and Purging
In other words, eating as much as you want, and then forcing yourself to vomit. This is a very bad idea that could have very serious problems. It has the same problems as starving, but could also have emotional consequences as well. Not to mention, you could damage your esophagus and other digestive organs. If you're doing this, I recommend that you stop immediately and read on to learn some healthier ways to lose the weight. If you find your self unable to stop, you should talk to a trusted adult about this immediately. .

Diuretics
This would include Ex-Lax or any other product that makes you expel your food quickly. This approach should be treated similarly to binging and purging.
